Your makeups new best friend!
Dermaplaning is one of the most effective dermatologically tested exfoliating treatments that make your skin feel as soft as a baby’s bottom and the smoothest it can be for makeup application. This treatment uses a single use, surgical grade sterilised exfoliating blade to skim off dead skin cells and ‘peach fuzz’ from your face. Our Dermaplane Skin Blading treatment helps to decongest clogged pores that result in blackheads and acne, whilst resurfacing the skin for a smooth, soft and even complexion.
How it works
Your skin will feel as soft as a baby’s bottom
Our Dermaplaning treatment utilises a single use surgical grade-sterilised blade to exfoliate and resurface the superficial layers of the skin. The skin is first prepared with a deep double cleanse followed by the dental scraping of our medical grade scalpel to shave away the dead and damaged surface skin cells. Our skin often becomes congested with oils and debris due to build up of dead skin cells being trapped under the sift hairs or ‘peach fuzz’ on the surface of our skin. By removing these dead skin cells and soft hair a stimulated rejuvenating effect takes place. You can expect to see a youthful appearance, softer skin and a more even complexion – with results improving over time. Not only does Dermaplaning effectively exfoliate and decongest pores it also allows for deeper penetration of skin products and easier makeup application.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Dermaplaning hurt?
Whilst Dermaplaning utilises a sterile, surgical blade scalpel it is completely pain free. This treatment removes the dead and congested layers of the skin which are naturally removed by our body. Think of It like shaving any other part of your body. Can you feel it? Yes. Does it hurt? No!
Is Dermaplaning like a Microdermabrasion?
Whilst Dermaplaning and Microdermabrasions are both deep exfoliating treatments, Dermaplaning is more effective. Dermaplaning will remove 2 x more dead skin cells than a microdermabrasion whilst simultaneously removing ‘peach fuzz’ leaving the skin clean, smooth and hair free!
Can I have Dermaplaning if I have Acne?
We don’t recommend our Dermaplaning treatment for active acne, it is however excellent for the resurfacing of scarring that comes from acne! It is important to get your acne under control first, we offer a range of skin peels and microdermabrasion that can help you take back control of your acne in preparation for your Dermaplaning treatment.
Is Dermaplaning safe?
Absolutely, our Dermaplaning treatment is administered by our expert skin specialists with sterile surgical grade scalpels. It is pain free when performed correctly. This is why we always advise Dermaplaning in clinic at Skulpt Face & Body as performing this treatment at home without professional training can result in abrasions and scarring of the face.
How long does Dermaplaning take?
Our Dermaplaning treatment can take up to 45 minutes depending on your individual goals and concerns. You can take your Dermaplaning treatment to the next level and advance your results further by adding an enzyme peel or a hydrating sheet mask to compliment your treatment.
